𝓹𝓻𝓮𝓵𝓲𝓶𝓲𝓷𝓪𝓻𝔂 𝓫𝓵𝓸𝓰 #4 , 30 𝓢𝓮𝓬𝓸𝓷𝓭 𝓥𝓲𝓭𝓮𝓸 𝓡𝓮𝓯𝓵𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷.

🎞️📽️ Preliminary blog on the 30 second video assignment reflection 

          

                                    My video was created, directed and edited by me, recorded by Angelo Gandia and the main character and actress was my friend Alegria. The video consists of Alegria being a very shy girl with an unpleasant school life since she gets bullied, her life is gray but then when she meets a radiant blonde girl the whole contrast switches. This idea was inspired from the daily life of teenagers that I observe on school. We never know what kids are really going through and it’s very important to be nice to each other. 

The purpose of this assignment was for us to practice the use of technical elements such as shots or movement to create a more realistic and especially more sophisticated look. 

Me personally, with a fun assignment like this one, i will take it personally and try to be as creative as i can.

The Process˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥

                        During he process I choose shots like mid shots to show her closed body language , close up shots to show what she was doing, like when she opened the door or a medium wide shot when the character of Alegria was interacting with me [the blonde girl]. 

While filming a challenge that we faced was definitely weather, but since we are invested people we took it as an advantage since it matched the vibe, but truly there was a HURRACANE outside while we were filming. Regarding the editing im pretty good at editing to it was easy but the 30 exact seconds made me a little sad, I would’ve loved more time honestly. 

Im proud that the whole idea worked well honestly. Alegria, Angelo and me were a great team and my whole idea worked well. That’s the greatest satisfaction honestly. 

If i could re-do the whole project I would’ve tried to edit more hugs at the end and probably leave the final text more time on the screen  that says ¨A hug can brighten someone’s day¨.

                                 The final reflection

˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥

               This practice will help me with my bigger course work by providing me the needed practice on teamwork and specially filming  part, i was eager to practice such fun part since i have no previous practice. 

Experimenting with different shots will make me feel more comfortable with the different shots and which one might result easier for me to manage. 

The skills that i gained during this project include but are not limited to planning ahead what my project will be, because we cannot be switching up ideas at the last minute, another important one is research and with research i also mean reading the directions so that we don’t commit any dumb mistakes. 

This exercise helps me understand how much of a role techinical elements play, since they can change the whole scenery, they create a more beautiful looking project. 

 This reflection shows me that my next step is to keep practicing and doing my whole best on the following projects, focusing on planning ahead and being sure of the art that i will be creating so that i dont regret anything afterwards.

Media studies video assignment! Final Result🩷

The picture above is me sitting down inside of a classroom and the main character alegria is in front of me, Alegria and Me were to include this scene in the final video but the time was not enough so it didn’t worked well. 

The picture above shows alegria on the stairs sitting down in the place that we filmed. We had a great time in these stairs, stairs are a very good place to record.

The video Above is showcasing Alegria, me and a friend that wanted to help out, we included this video but only like a second of it, since again, time was no collaborating. When I say time, I mean the 30 seconds that it’s supposed to be.
