Editing is honestly my favorite part haha 💕🤍🌷🖤✨. This is where I get to play with her world and make it look exactly how her mind feels messy, chaotic, but still somehow beautiful 🌈🌙💭. I plan to layer colors and textures like soft pinks, pale blues, grays, and black to make the scenes feel dreamy but emotionally intense 🌸💗. I want to adjust brightness, add vignettes, fading effects, and sometimes subtle glitches, all to show how fractured her reality is 💕🖤🌷.The transitions between scenes are going to be important too 🌙✨. Some will be smooth and soft, showing her rare moments of calm or memory, and some will be abrupt and jarring, like her mind skipping, her thoughts breaking, or her losing control 💭🌈💗. I also want to add little playful touches, like moments where she smiles faintly at something tiny, just to show that even in her sadness there’s still a spark of innocence 🌸💕🖤. Editing is where her emotions really breathe, where you can see both her chaos and her fragile beauty at the same time 🌷🌙✨
The missing scene is where I want to show her softest, most human side 🌸💭💗🖤. Even though she’s sad and struggling with insanity, she’s still a teenager who can act playful, silly, or tender 🌙🌈💕. I want to capture her relationship with her best friend small gestures, laughs, moments that feel pure and magical 🌸✨💭. These are the moments that remind the audience of her humanity, that even someone falling apart can still have love and connection in their life 💕🖤🌷.I also want to use colors like pink and blue in this scene 🌙🌸💗. They feel soft, magical, and nostalgic, like cotton candy or bubblegum 🌈✨💕. The scene should feel almost like a memory you want to keep forever, full of innocence and warmth, contrasting with the rest of her broken, chaotic world 🌷💭🖤. This is her gentle side, the part of her still capable of love, magic, and hope even after losing so much 🌸🌈💕.⊹₊⟡⋆Soundtrack
My best friend and I both have a lot of lighting equipment that we can use as props to enhance the use of technology in our project. We’ve collected different machines that project or display lights in unique ways, which gives us a lot of creative options. She has a small robot that lights up, and I have a really pretty circular light that works perfectly for creating different moods. I also have a camera lens that can adjust and help capture the lighting effects in more dynamic ways. Since we both have so many lights in our rooms, we can definitely come up with something visually striking and creative.
new ending???
This scene from the anime Death Note really stuck with me.
It’s the moment when Misa Amane is standing on the building, and it’s heavily implied that she’s about to end her life. They never actually show her jumping in the anime, and it’s never directly confirmed that she dies, though I believe the manga goes further with that idea. Still, in the show itself, it’s left unspoken; you just see her standing there, and that silence, that uncertainty, makes it so powerful. When I first saw it, I remember feeling completely heartbroken. I kept hoping she wouldn’t do it, trying to convince myself that maybe she changed her mind, that there was still a chance. But deep down, I knew what that scene meant. The fact that they never showed the moment she actually jumps made it even more haunting and beautiful to me. That moment really inspired me for my own film ending. Ever since the school year started, I’ve wanted to create something emotional, maybe just a 30- or 90-second film, about a girl struggling deeply with herself, trying to find happiness but feeling completely lost. I never got the chance to do that before, but yesterday I started thinking seriously about it again, and I realized this is the story I want to tell. I think it would be such a powerful concept, one that captures that same quiet pain and beauty that Misa’s scene did. I’m not as into anime as I’d like to be because I don’t always have time, but Death Note really left an impression on me. Misa Amane is my favorite character, and even though her ending is tragic, I find it incredibly beautiful in a way it shows how fragile and human she was beneath everything else.
Today's movie
Cam🎀(2018) starring Madeline Brewer˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
For this section, I picked Cam, which is totally different from the other movies I’ve analyzed but so intense and fascinating. It’s dark, emotional, and kind of creepy, but in the best way. It’s about identity, technology, and control, and the way it mixes thriller and psychological tension is amazing. Madeline Brewer is incredible as Alice, a camgirl whose life spirals out of control when someone steals her online identity. The movie feels modern, stylish, and haunting all at once, and the colors, lighting, and details make it unforgettable 💻🖤💗
Cam is a 2018 American horror film directed by Daniel Goldhaber and written by Isa Mazzei from a story by Goldhaber, Mazzei and Isabelle Link-Levy. The story is partially drawn from writer Mazzei's own experience working as a camgirl. The film is the first feature film for both Goldhaber and Mazzei.[2]
Alice Ackerman works as a camgirl on a website called FreeGirlsLive under the name "Lola_Lola". Obsessed with her rank on the site, she hopes to become number one someday. Alice's mother believes she works in web development; her younger brother Jordan persuades Alice to tell their mother the truth someday. Alice has two loyal viewers, Barney and Arnold, with whom she regularly engages in direct messages. One night, while streaming, she commits suicide by slitting her throat at the request of an anonymous user (later revealed to be Arnold), only to then reawaken and reveal it was a stunt.
Music & Sound: The music is subtle but super effective. It’s mostly electronic and eerie, giving the whole movie a suspenseful and tense atmosphere. You can feel the unease building slowly, and little sounds like notification pings, typing, and door creaks make you feel Alice’s paranoia and fear. It’s the kind of soundtrack that makes you tense even when nothing is happening on screen 🎶💻😳
Lighting: The lighting in Cam is perfect for the mood.!!!!!!!!!!!! Most of it is dark with neon glows, especially from screens and computer lights, which makes it feel futuristic but also isolating. The warm, pinkish tones in her bedroom at first make it feel cozy and personal, but as the story progresses, the lighting becomes colder and harsher, showing how her world is being taken over. It’s scary, stylish, and super atmospheric ✨🖤💡
Editing: The editing is sharp and clever. There are close-ups of screens, split-second reactions, and fast cuts when Alice starts losing control. It keeps you on edge and mirrors her anxiety perfectly. The pacing makes you feel trapped in her perspective, like you’re right there with her while everything unravels. It’s tense but in a way that’s totally compelling and addictive 🎞️💫˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
Mise-en-scène (setting, props, costumes): The visuals are incredible. Alice’s bedroom is her personal space, filled with cute, girly things like stuffed animals and posters, but also cameras and tech gear, showing the duality of her private and online life. Her outfits are fun, colorful, and stylish, which reflect her personality and confidence. The props, especially her computer and cam equipment, are central to the story they’re beautiful but also dangerous, representing control and vulnerability 💖💻🌸
Acting & Body Language: Madeline Brewer is amazing. She makes Alice feel real, fun, and relatable, but also scared and isolated. Her expressions, gestures, and posture change so much as the story becomes darker. You can feel her confusion, panic, and desperation through every movement, and she balances charm and fear perfectly. Watching her transformation is intense, heartbreaking, and fascinating 💗😢🔥
Opening & Titles: The movie opens in a way that immediately puts you in Alice’s world. You see her personality, her style, and her job as a camgirl, and it already feels intimate and personal. The title Cam appears simply, which is perfect short, bold, and fitting for a movie about online identity and control. It’s subtle but really sets the tone for everything that comes after 🎀💻✨
˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚
Overall, Cam is such a stylish, intense, and emotionally gripping movie. It’s dark, modern, and full of suspense, but it also has these small, personal touches that make you care about Alice. The way it uses music, lighting, props, and acting all work together to make you feel her fear, confusion, and determination. It’s the kind of movie that’s haunting, beautiful, and thought-provoking all at the same time 💗🖤💻🌸🔥
