 So here I’m gonna be talking about makeup, costume, and the art for the mirror scene. Honestly, the mirror scene is probably my favorite part of the whole project so far. It seems like SO much work, but I’m super excited because I’m going to do it with my best friend, Angely . ╱╲❀╱╲╱╲❀╱╲

She’s such an artistic person, and I just know it’s going to be really fun to collaborate with her. I’m 100% sure that’s the main reason why I picked her to work on this scene, but I’ll be talking about her more in later blogs, so I won’t go too deep here. For now, let’s jump straight into the makeup!╱╲❀╱╲╱╲❀╱╲

OK, so first of all, the makeup. I want her to look , like a pretty doll soft, cute, and a little fragile. Since she’s going to have dark hair, it’s going to be a bit different than a typical doll aesthetic, because dolls usually have light hair  like pink, blue, or blonde, like me. 

But since she’s not wearing a wig (and we’re broke teens LOL), she’s just going to have her real dark hair. I do have some pink hair stripes that I bought on Shein, and I might use those, but ✯¸.•´*¨`*•✿ ✿•*`¨*`•.¸✯I’m not totally sure yet. 

Honestly, those stripes wouldn’t look great on me because I don’t have much hair, but she has so much hair it literally looks like she could wear four wigs at once. And now she recently dyed her hair black, which makes it even more perfect for the vibes I want 😭✨.

✯¸.•´*¨`*•✿ ✿•*`¨*`•.¸✯The mood I want for her makeup and overall look is super pink, soft, and cute. I love pink so much  obviously, my room is pink  and I wanted to incorporate that into the scene, especially since I had to change the original idea of the room. This new vibe makes it feel fresh and different from the darker, more gothic things that people usually expect. I love the idea that things don’t always reflect what people are going through inside  it’s a little surprising ✯¸.•´*¨`*•✿ ✿•*`¨*`•.¸✯and playful.

 but I’m going to post a few pictures below to show the inspiration. Basically, the makeup I want is very Asian-influenced, focusing on cute, feminine, soft, and calming styles. I’m obsessed with it  I literally cannot even talk about it without freaking out because it’s so beautiful 😭💗. 

✯¸.•´*¨`*•✿ ✿•*`¨*`•.¸✯Her makeup is going to have lots of glitter, especially because of the lashes. I want huge lashes to really make her look doll-like. I also want her to have a pretty pale white base  her skin is already very fair, even more so than mine, which makes it easier to work with since she doesn’t have acne.

I also want her to have lots and lots of blush. I’m putting a picture below of me wearing a lot of blush  I’ve never used that much before because my skin gets red easily, but I loved the look and want to replicate that on her. I just got new lashes specifically for this scene, so I’m super excited to use ೋღ 🌺 ღೋthem 😌✨.

Since she doesn’t usually wear lashes, it might be tricky to keep them on, but she’s fully prepared and committed. She ✯¸.•´*¨`*•✿ ✿•*`¨*`•.¸✯knows how important this is to me, so she’s going to do whatever it takes to make them stay. I’ll also do huge eyeliner to help define her eyes and complement the dark hair, and I’ll make sure everything blends well with the soft, pink, doll-like look I want. I’ll post pictures below for inspired makeup styles, so you can see the vibe I’m going for. This is all for the first scene  the one that sets the entire mood of the story.

For the later scenes, the makeup will be much more subtle. By the last scene, she won’t have the full lashes or heavy eyeliner. Her look will be darker and more tired, which will contrast with her earlier, doll-like appearance. Even when she’s at her computer scrolling, the makeup will still be there, but softer just enough to maintain the doll aesthetic without ೋღ 🌺 ღೋoverpowering the scene.

I’m still figuring out what will happen in the mirror scene. I don’t know if she’ll take her makeup off or keep it on, but I do know that the next part I’m going to get into  the art  will be the main focus. That’s going to be super exciting too, and I ೋღ 🌺 ღೋcan’t wait to explain it 😌💗.

OK, so for the mirror scene, I dont hate it, but you know,.... I picked way too much work for myself, so maybe she’s going to do most of it by herself, and I’ll just help her out because, honestly, I trust her more than I trust myself with this dark makeup.

I’m going to be more real now. OK, I love the concept of a doll. I’ve loved dolls forever, and that’s also one of the props I’m
going to use in the scene but I’ll talk more about that in a future blog. Another characteristic of dolls, besides being cute, is that there’s a huge variety of dark-looking dolls with this creepy, bloody, or “sick” aesthetic. That’s exactly the vibe I wa⑅ ♥̩̥̩♥̩̩̥͙♥̩͙ˊˎnt for this scene. I want to show her skin looking like it’s

deteriorating, and the way I’m going to do that is by using paints, sponges, fake blood, red or black ink, paintbrushes, lace, and anything else I can find to make her look like that. I also want to use green to show decay or sickness. I’m really excited because I know we’re going to make something amazing. I’ll also post inspiration pictures below to show the look I’m going for veins showing, tired eyes, and just a darker, more intense version of the makeup she had at the beginning. I’m still deciding about the lashes for this part, and honestly,

her look is going to be very different from the first scene.

For the last part of the scene, I don’t plan on her wearing a lot
of makeup. I also don’t plan on showing her skin falling off here, because that was just part of an episode. She’s going to look tired, not like a perfect doll anymore, and definitely not dead  she’s about to experience something, but she’s not dead yet. The makeup here is going to show exhaustion and a worn-out vibe, which leads me perfectly into talking about the costume which is a big deal for this part because her outfit is going to reflect her ೋღ 🌺 ღೋmood and energy too.

OKAYYYY, I’m SO excited about this . I literally consider myself a fashion lover, so working on costumes is my favorite part. The costumes I’m focusing on are mainly for the first and last scenes. For organization, I’m actually going to start with the last outfit and then go backwards to the first one  ⑅ ♥̩̥̩♥̩̩̥͙♥̩͙ˊˎcounterclockwise style, ha ha ha.

＊*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚For the last scene, her outfit is going to be more dark but still ⑅ ♥̩̥̩♥̩̩̥͙♥̩͙ˊˎcute and looking

tired, so maybe  a hoodie or a long sleeve, a black long skirt, and socks. 

No shoes because during the jump she shouldn’t be wearing sneakers. The vibe is “I don’t even care anymore”  the outfit is comfy, loose, and mirrors her exhausted mood at the end... like misa amane, she wear a dress at the end, my doll character will wear a shirt and loose things at the end, still with a lace around her neck⑅ ♥̩̥̩♥̩̩̥͙♥̩͙ˊˎ

For the first scene, which is at Cauley Square and sets the doll-like aesthetic, I’m planning for her to wear white lace high-knee socks and heels. She’s really a heels girl, so this is perfect for

her. She has some beautiful white heels that I’ll include a picture of below  they’re just so adorable, and I wish I could wear them all day. ＊*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚

The outfit will be pink, 100% probably a pink shirt, and I’m still deciding on the skirt. For her hair, I’m thinking straight with maybe curls at the ends, or leaving it natural  I’ll decide after the makeup.＊*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚ Accessories are going to be a mix of silver and gold jewelry because we both love layering pieces, and it’ll look fun and sparkly.⑅ ♥̩̥̩♥̩̩̥͙♥̩͙ˊˎ

＊*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚For when she’s at home in the second scene, she’ll be wearing more relaxed clothes  still cute, but not over the top. Pink shorts, a pink shirt (my favorite), and high pink socks. I’m thinking about styling her hair in two ponytails here, which I think will look super adorable while she’s scrolling at her

computer.⑅ ♥̩̥̩♥̩̩̥͙♥̩͙ˊˎ

For the third scene, which is the mirror scene, I’m planning to keep the same outfit as the second scene, but the hair will be messy and the makeup will start to transform. 

＊*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚This is where her doll-like appearance begins to change and show more of the darker, deteriorated aesthetic we’ve been talking about with the ⑅ ♥̩̥̩♥̩̩̥͙♥̩͙ˊˎmakeup.

⑅ ♥̩̥̩♥̩̩̥͙♥̩͙ˊˎSo yeah, basically that’s everything about her outfit and makeup for now 😌💗. I’m honestly super excited to see how this all comes together. And as a little spoiler for Blog 25… ＊*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚it’s going to be even more fun because I’ll focus on her character fully, showing Angely  dolled up and bringing everything to ⑅ ♥̩̥̩♥̩̩̥͙♥̩͙ˊˎlife. Looking back at the mirror scene, I feel really proud of how the makeup, costume, and art came together. At first, I was a little overwhelmed, but working with Angely made it so much fun and easier than I expected. I loved planning the⁎̩͙ ⁑̩͙̩͙ ⁂̩̩͙͙ transformation from cute doll to tired, darker version it really shows how much detail can tell a story without words. This part of the project taught me to be flexible, trust my creative choices, and pay attention to the little things that make a scene feel magical 😌✨.＊*•̩̩͙✩•̩̩͙*˚
